Here are some tips for taking care of your premium vegan items.
- Store them properly when not wearing them. Keep them in their original box or a cloth shoe bag, stuffed with tissue paper to help them hold their shape. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Clean them regularly. Use a soft cloth to remove dirt after each wear. Wipe them down with a damp cloth. Use a vegan leather cleaner or mild soap and water to clean the exterior if needed. Avoid submerging them in water.
- Condition the material. Use a vegan leather conditioner every few months to keep the material supple. Rub it in with a soft cloth.
- Protect them from moisture. Spray with a vegan waterproofing spray before wearing in rain or snow. It helps repel water. Reapply as needed.
- Avoid direct heat. Don't place them near heat vents or in direct sunlight for long periods of time. The heat can dry out and crack vegan leather.
- Get minor repairs. Take them to a cobbler right away if you notice any tears or damage. It's easier to fix small issues before they worsen.
- Consider adding rubber soles. Having a cobbler add non-slip rubber soles can help extend the life of the boots and improve traction.
With proper care and storage, your vegan boots can last for years. Be gentle, clean and condition them regularly, and protect them from moisture and heat damage. Investing in some vegan care supplies helps keep them in top condition.
I needed to replace my favorite boots because they were not fitting well anymore, painfully squeezing my toes :(. I came to Bhava for the Charlie Combat Boot but decided to get these as well for Wisconsin winters. They are the best! Super comfy and stylish. I sized up from my usual 38, some 7.5-8/38 still fit me well, but I got these in the 39 and glad I did. I've worn them twice wearing tights only with the fleece insole added without removing the cork. They are so cozy and comfortable!
I ordered these in October to go with a Halloween costume hoping that I would love them and wear them consistently. WELL. I wore them more than any other shoe October through March in Chicago and got more compliments than I can list. These are amazingly comfortable, durable, and clean up super well (I also bought the shoe care kit). Incredible.
I love them I wear them every day they looked great within most of my clothes xxxx
So happy I bought the Rally boots. They're comfortable out of the box and look cool and different from similar style boots. They're true to size. I am a 6 and wear them with no show socks. A thicker sock would be too snug. Wearing vegan also makes me feel much better. I will be buying Bhava again!
These boots are very cool. I love the color, I like the very sharp toe, which is unusual in a winter boot, and it fits well and is a functional snow/ice boot. I wouldn't use it as a walking/hiking boot, because it's not super comfortable for longer walking, but it's great for running errands in the snow.
